We have trained with the best and brightest hair extension companies across the country and have found what works for some doesn't work for others. Hand-tied hair extensions are wefts of hair that are tied to a string by a human instead of a machine, providing the thinnest weft for maximum comfort and flexibility. Hand-tied wefts prevent bulkiness at the scalp and ensures your hair lays flat against your head. As technology becomes more advanced, we've really started to love the durability of genius/seamless (different companies have different names) wefts. Don't worry, we can chat with you about which hair is best for you after you complete your digital consultation form.

Yes, we use 100% human remy hair for every installation.

It depends on the method. While all methods have recommendations, the finer and thinner your hair is, the sooner you will need maintenance.

For beaded rows and tape rows, 6-8 weeks. Hair typically lasts 6-9 months.

For tape panels, 4-6 weeks. Hair typically lasts 3-6 months.

For keratin bonds, 10-16 weeks. New hair required at every appointment.

The length between appointments and how long hair will last is heavily dependent on at home care. We provide you with eBooks and videos to help guide you through this process.

For most guests, we want to see your hair to your shoulders, but it really depends on what your goals are and your density of hair. At minimum, your shortest lay must be to your chin in the front and occipital bone in the back to ensure your wefts don't show. At Eclectic Hair Studio, we know there are exceptions to most rules but our number one goal is to make sure no one ever knows you're wearing extensions. If your hair doesn't meet the above standards, we still encourage you to fill out our consultation form and we'd be more than happy to chat with you about your specific solution(s).

In most cases, absolutely. Actually, there's pretty much no way you can't style your hair with Eclectic Hair Extensions. Low pony-tails, top knots, braids, messy buns, half-up styles... we encourage it all! With that being said, everyone's natural hair and goals are different, so you're stylist will work with you to determine the best method of install and placement to work best with your lifestyle.

You sure can, but there are a few extra steps you have to take. If you're going to be highly active or swimming, we suggest a loose braid or ponytail to prevent any tangling. We also suggest some preventative measures to keep your hair from discoloring. Don't worry, we'll provide you with all the aftercare information (both written and video instructions) you'll need to take care of your extensions, regardless of your lifestyle.

Yes and no. Let's be honest here... in most cases, you're likely doubling or tripling the amount of hair on your head. We can't deny that it would take longer to dry or style that. BUT your extensions will hold their style FOR DAYS. 95% of our extension clients have been able to reduce the amount of times they wash and style their hair per week. Your morning routine will be a breeze when you only have to touch-up a few pieces of hair. 

Nope. At Eclectic Hair Studio, we create a completely seamless blend between your natural hair and the extension hair (that's why we color your hair at every visit). We've been trained to strategically conceal all beads so no one ever knows you're wearing extensions, even when it's pulled up.

Yes, you are able to use conditioner without worrying that it will loosen your hair extensions. With k-tips and tape ins, you'll want to be aware of keeping conditioner and most products away from the attachment points.
